Adidas Festive Campaign With A Brand Film Featured Globally

Fiercely festive

TBWA Netherlands In celebration of the festive season approached Dillon Buirski to create a brand film for the Adidas festive campaign that will be featured globally. The quest was to execute a festive atmosphere that was different and unique, that showcases and expresses joy, love, laughter, family and great times but also celebrates the Fifa WC 2022 and having it all play out in the same house.

The director, Dillon Buirski mentioned this remarkable journey of working with such an amazing set of crew and local talent and also with a good friend, DOP Nicol Dippenaar in collaborating on this captivating and vibrant film that was shot two days in a studio right here in beautiful Cape Town.

The energy in front of the screen and behind was in perfect synchronisation. The casting was very unique where each cast member has their own intriguing characteristics that aid to the festive spirit and look but also celebrate inclusivity of all, regardless of age, size, colour or culture.

The dancer in the film was not scripted at all and she allowed the inspiration and energy on set to mould her choreography, which accompanied the festivity we were after perfectly. She was a complete natural.

The set was also very exciting with a flat background at a 90-degree angle. We played a lot with various lighting and editing techniques, set dressing and decor, cast performance and art direction to create the perfect mood and visuals. The purpose was also to create multiple environments within the use of one environment, which was a challenge we gladly accepted.

This was a wonderful and refreshing campaign that we loved to be a part of and we thank every person that was part of it and that delivered such a spectacular film. We also want to thank and mention the awesome stills lead photographer, Gabriel Kannemeyer, that shot alongside us.
